Canonbury

We enjoyed working on this project which was another house extension and refurbishment. We built and installed a number of wood and joinery items. As the building was listed the clients and their designer wanted many of the joinery elements to blend seamlessly with the historic character of the project, without feeling too new. For that reason handpainted finishes were the preferred approach with pops of natural wood and blocks of strong colours.

The kitchen is made from oak veneer on one side with a clever concealed shaker handle detail. This was something we prototyped with the designers to refine the details. On the other side the units are handpainted onto oak to provide a continuity of textural lightness.
